King Abdullah Port:
The world’s fastest growing port

A key part of KAEC’s unique value proposition is King Abdullah Port. Officially inaugurated by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on February 11, 2019, King Abdullah Port is one of the fastest-growing ports in the world.

King Abdullah Port is the first port in the Middle East to be owned, developed, and operated by the private sector. Home to the world’s biggest shipping lines, King Abdullah Port is strategically located on one of the most important world trade lines and the link between the three continents. 13% of the world’s maritime trade crosses these waters.

Fully owned by the privet sector (Ports Development Company), King Abdullah Port was ranked by The World Bank as the world’s as first most efficient port in 2021 and emerged as one of the world’s top 100 ports within four years of operation. The port leverages the city’s advanced facilities and services, particularly the Industrial Valley, which has attracted many logistics projects as well as light and medium industries.
